Yes. Goonies!!. In all honesty, this is more of a general update of what is going on in the studio. I don't have pictures of everything and I do apologize. I have pictures of most of it though. so. To start off the thing I don't have the pictures of are the Royal Black Watch who are currently in an olive drab primer coat but have gone no further. They will be a big part of my con games for next year. After that I have several minis awaiting paint on my shelf as well as some new arrivals which I do have some pictures. of. Hit read more to take a look. Hi everyone. This is one of my soapbox type entries. So if you dont like em, I understand, but I just need to get some stuff off my chest. Recently there has been talk of the new "Centurion" units that are being released by Games Workshop for the Warhammer 40K line as well as new Sternguard Vets and new Tactical Marines. Why am I talking about these? hit Read more to find out why... So, right now we are working on some Blood Angel models. This post is pretty short as it is pretty much a test shot of the Assault Marine squad. The backpacks and Jump Packs are being painted seperately. For some reason it seems my white balance is off and its washing the pics out slightly. I hope y'all enjoy the pics. Hit Read More to see them. Talk to ya later, CJ Hey everyone. Its just me. I'm taking a break from painting minis from Historicon, Painting the Knight, and painting some Warmachine minis to just rant on what I think my big stumbling block is with Warhammer 40K's setting. To put it bluntly, its Skulls. I coudl handle some skulls, a medium amount of skulls even. But theyre everywhere. They are on terrain, buildings, vehicles, armor, spikes, idols, temples, in windows, in holes in the ground, on shoulderpads, im sure they are in more places too. Hey everyone. This is just an update at an ungodly hour to let you know what is going on here at the studio. I also have some pics included for your enjoyment. So far I am preparing minis for 1 event still and also have to finish getting all my terrain and props needed for another. So, read below if you want to know the chaos that is prep work for Historicon 2013. So, I was poking around on Facebook today and I found an interesting image of a piece of terrain depicting 2 Space Marines playing Warhammer 40K in a ruined GW. I saw this and I recalled that there are a few self deprecating works out there by some intrepide modellers of stores and models which poke fun at both the hobby and the game itself. I thought I woudl go ahead and try to get some of those together here as I realy do appreciate seeing them out there and will try to give credit where it is due. If I cant find the original source then please let me know and I will make sure you get credited for your work. As for the update. The trollbloods are on hold until as we have a prespective buyer, I will get pics of the finished buggers up soon and we will be moving to a new studio sometime later this month, so our blogs may be a bit more infrequent then normal. As for all the goodness which is the cool models from the interwebs hit read more to see it all!! Till next time - CJ |
